Fanciacorta and Lago d'Iseo
A hidden gem at the foot of the Alps. In the middle between Verona and Milan, this area has been left in peace by mass tourism, which annually occupies Lake Garda and Lake Como. This is an area that has the most. The classic lake, the small towns that lie in a row along the water. Beautiful landscape that alternates between flat and hilly in the south to mountains and valleys in the north. Lovely food and not least what Franciacorta is best known for, "Sparkling Wine". The area is a mecca for cycling, hiking and water sports. Here you can cycle along vines, visit vineyards and taste "bubble wine" one day, and walk in the mountains the next. Or how about a day on horseback, with a picnic among the vines? A boat trip on the lake with a stop on Monte Isola is a must. On this idyllic (car-free) island you can rent a bike and cycle around or climb the highest point of the island and enjoy a delicious lunch.
We stay in a cozy four star hotel with swimming pool and beautiful views of Lago d'Iseo. The lake is a hidden gem between the more famous Garda and Como.
