On tour with
Day Otto Lauritzen

Ita Travel and Dag Otto Lauritzen present a trip you will not want to miss, to beautiful Franciacorta and Lake Iseo. A trip where we focus on the good life. Bicycle rides on car-free roads, vineyard visits, delicious dining experiences, boat rides on beautiful Lake Iseo. And of course Dag Otto will give lectures with lots of humor. A trip with a focus on unity and cosiness. A trip that suits most people.

We stay in a cozy four star hotel with swimming pool and beautiful views of Lago d'Iseo. We want the whole hotel to ourselves to get a good unity in the group. Lake Iseo is a hidden gem between the more famous Garda and Como. The area is best known for wine production of "sparkling wine". And we are not talking Prosecco, but the delicious Franciacorta wine. Italy's response to Champagne.

Program

Day 1

Arrival Italy. Check-in and welcome sparkling wine at the bar. The afternoon is enjoyed by the pool. Shared Italian dinner in the evening in cozy Paratico. Dag Otto will of course be present and introduce himself and tell a little about what the days will bring.

Day 2

After a wonderful breakfast we get on our bikes and explore the Franciacorta wine region. With guides, we cycle along vineyards on cozy car-free roads. Dag Otto will contribute with his good mood and will be an inspiration during the entire bike ride. The Al Rocol winery is our final stop. A family run winery where the owner will welcome us with open arms. Here there will be a tour of the wine cellar where we are told how the Franciacorta wine is produced and can call itself Italy's answer to Champagne. After this we will enjoy a lovely lunch with wines. During lunch, Dag Otto will give his lecture. So here you have to open both mouth and ears. After such an experience, we are picked up by our bus and driven safely back to the hotel. The afternoon is enjoyed by the pool. Or a stroll in charming Sarnico which can offer many cozy shops and (ice cream) bars. The evening on its own.

Day 3

After breakfast, it's time to explore Lake Iseo. The boat takes us back and forth in cozy places before we end up on Monte Isola. Where the Master of the Masters was recorded in 2014. And of course there will be a copy of this. We cycle around the island, on car-free roads, stop at small cozy towns before we end up at the water's edge and we assume a classic pizza lunch. After lunch the boat takes us back to the hotel.  Joint closing dinner in the evening.

It has been a pleasure to get to know Frank even better in ITA Travel on trips in and around Franciacorta, Sulzano and Iseo. Everything perfectly arranged, with bike rides, vineyards and not least boat trips on Lake Iseo. Highly recommended.
